Barnstable Pickleball members,

On Tuesday & Thursday, October 21st & 23rd, the West Villages Elementary School is observing a half day of school for Parent/Teacher conferences. Therefore, please park only on the perimeter of the parking lot. There is no center parking. Additionally, around 11:30 - 12:00, parents are lined up to pick up their children. Please do not try to exit during this time. Instead, wait to leave once parent cars have exited their lines.

We have about 30 to 40 summer balls in the shed left to use.  When we have used them up, probably by early November, we will then use the not so popular winter balls. A heads up in case you want to continue to use the current summer ones, just bring your own.

Congrats to Marty Roberts. She won the gift card raffle for court monitoring for the first half of October. Again, we’ll be self monitoring until sometime in May.  Also, as a reminder, winter hours begin Monday, November 3rd.

It takes a lot of help and volunteers to run our Organized Play program all year long, from tournaments to everyday play, setting up and putting away the portable nets, court monitoring, spotting to see what courts are open and the work that our BP board does as well, not to mention organizing the Women’s League, Socials and the Beach Party.  Thank you all for another great season. Of particular note are the members that open up the courts 360 plus days a year. A special thanks to Paul MacDonald, Craig Curtain and Harvey Auerbach.

Feel free to show your creativity and  dress up for Halloween on Friday the 31st at the courts. Love to take some pics.

Thank you,
BP comm.
