Barnstable Pickleball members,

We had 4 BP members that participated in the National Seniors Pickleball tournament in Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend. Marty Roberts, Liz McNamara, Kerry McNamara, and Tom Donahue.  In the Men’s Doubles, Kerry and Tom placed 8th out of 25 teams.  In the Mixed Doubles, Liz and Kerry placed 10th out of 26 teams.  In the Women’s Doubles, Marty and Liz placed 5th out of 25 teams. 

We’re very proud that our four members did so well representing Barnstable Pickleball. Congratulations.

Thanks everyone who signed up to be a court monitor in July.  Soon, we will raffle two $50 gift cards in appreciation for such a fun job. August is almost full for monitor sign ups, but as of today we have 3 Saturdays where no one has yet signed up.  They are August 16th, 23rd, and the 30th. As a reminder, you do not have to open up or close up or even set up any nets on the courts.  You can also have several people working with you which would really help a lot.  A microphone is available as well. There’s always people to be a “spotter" letting you know when courts are available.
